Get Your Business Recommended by ChatGPT

People used to Google “roofer near me” and click around. Now they ask an AI, and it names two or three businesses. We help Surrey and BC businesses become one of those names.

Fewer People Click Through

When Google shows an AI answer at the top, people read it and stop. They click a website about half as often.

That means ranking on page one is not enough anymore. You want to be named inside the answer, because many people never scroll past it.

How AI Decides Which Business to Name

Nobody outside OpenAI or Google knows the exact formula. But AI tools build their answers from what they can find and trust about you online. These five things come up again and again.

web

1. A clear website

It says what you do, where you work and who you help, in plain words. One page for each service. AI can only repeat what it can read.

reviews

2. Reviews that say something

Your star rating, how many reviews you have and how recent they are. Reviews that mention the job and the area (“fixed our roof in Newton”) help the most.

storefront

3. A full Google Business Profile

Real hours, your services listed, photos and the right categories. Google’s own AI leans on it heavily.

fact_check

4. The same details everywhere

Your name, address and phone match on Google, Yelp, Facebook and directories. Mixed details make AI unsure you are one real business. Why this matters

hub

5. Other sites mention you

Directories, local news, suppliers and client websites. When other places talk about you, AI trusts you more.

bolt

Notice something?

This is mostly good local SEO. AI SEO builds on it. A business that is easy to find on Google is usually easier for AI to recommend.

Why It Is Worth Doing Now

People who come from an AI answer have already been told you are a good pick. They show up ready to buy.

0.5% → 12%

At the SEO company Ahrefs, AI search sent half a percent of visitors but 12.1% of new sign-ups. That is about 23 times better than regular search.

42%

of people trust an AI recommendation as much as reading reviews for a local business. BrightLocal, 2026.

57%

of Canadians aged 18 to 34 already use AI to help decide what to buy. Your next customers are forming the habit now. Léger for National Bank, June 2026.

Google is still huge, with about 14 billion searches a day. AI does not replace it. It is a second front door, and right now very few local businesses in Surrey are working on it. That is the opportunity.

Common Questions

What is AI SEO?expand_more

AI SEO is the work of getting your business named in answers from AI tools like ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude and Google’s AI Overviews. You may also hear it called LLM SEO, GEO (generative engine optimization) or AEO (answer engine optimization). They all mean roughly the same thing.

How do I get my business on ChatGPT?expand_more

There is no form to fill out. ChatGPT learns about you from the web. Make your website clear about what you do and where, fill in your Google Business Profile, keep your name, address and phone the same everywhere, collect reviews, and get mentioned on other trusted sites.

Can I pay ChatGPT to recommend my business?expand_more

No. You cannot buy a spot in the answer itself. Some AI tools are starting to show ads, but those are labelled and kept separate. The recommendation comes from what the AI finds and trusts about you.

Is AI SEO different from regular SEO?expand_more

Most of the work overlaps. Good local SEO is the base. AI SEO adds a few layers on top: pages that answer questions directly, structured data, more attention to reviews and mentions on other sites, and checking what AI tools actually say about you.

How long does it take?expand_more

Usually weeks to a few months. AI tools update what they know at different speeds, and a lot depends on how much your competitors are doing. We check every month so you can see it move.

Is Google search going away?expand_more

No. Google still handles about 14 billion searches a day, and it now shows AI answers too. Think of AI as a second front door. The best plan covers both, and the work helps both.

Do you only work with Surrey businesses?expand_more

We are based on King George Blvd in Surrey, BC. We work in person across the Lower Mainland and remotely with businesses across Canada. See our Surrey web design and SEO page.
